Auto Index Tab¶
The Auto Index tab allows you to control settings for automatically indexing videos added to a specified folder tree.
Auto Index monitors the specified folder for new video files. When a video is added to the monitored folder while the program is running, it is automatically added to the catalog and indexed. This is useful for workflows where videos are regularly added to a specific location, such as a download folder or a media ingestion directory.

Enable AutoIndex from folder -- Enable/Disable the auto index feature
Auto index folder -- The root folder that is watched for added videos
Index subfolders -- Do we want subfolders below the root folder to be included in the watch?
Auto start indexing -- When the auto index feature has added a video file, start the video indexing.
Scan folder on startup -- When enabled, the program will scan the auto index folder when it starts and add any videos that were added while the program was not running. This ensures that videos copied to the folder while Fast Video Cataloger was closed are automatically detected and indexed on the next launch.
