Fast Video Cataloger 9.43 is now (26/10 2025) available for download. If you already have FVC installed, click on the Upgrade button in the help menu. If you do not have FVC installed you can get the latest version from our download page.
Here is what’s improved:
- It’s now possible to assign keywords from the bin window even if a keyword is not in the current search filter.
- Keyboard navigation and selection in the video catalog window have changed. Move focus with the arrow key. When focus moves, the thumbnail window will show for the focused video and not the selected one. Add/Remove from selection with space, select one item only with Enter. Multiselection with the mouse works the same as before: hold down Ctrl to add to the selection and shift for range selection.
When multiselecting in the video catalog window, the video detail window and the thumbnail window will update to show the last selected item. - Bins now have a file context menu to “delete”, “Open folder”, “open in file organizer”, and “Show properties”.
- Fixed the issue that the reset button in the search window only resets the text on the first click. And the next click updated the search; now the fields are cleared and the search is updated.
- Search in the file organizer to show all videos in that folder, including all folders starting with the same characters; now only videos in the folder or subfolders are shown.
- File organizer now has a new option to auto-search/filter the catalog in the selected folder. I.e., when you select a folder in the file organizer, the video catalog window is filtered only to show videos in that subfolder.
- Selection changes in the file organizer are now faster.
- Rename by changing the name in the video catalog’s details view, updated the wrong item if you edit the name and change selection before hitting enter to finish the rename.
- Fixed an issue where the video wall was animated at max speed until the mouse was moved over it.
