The algorithm for what Youtube recommends have changed and is now more focused on how long time a video has been watched instead of how many clicks it has. Youtube states that this as an ongoing change of focus towards watch time of videos and encourage users to make improvements to “keep them watching”
Google have also added extra features to the analytic page so you can follow how your watch time improves.
