Keywords are the investment that pays off later. A keyword on a video finds that video; a keyword on a scene finds the exact moment, across every video in the catalog. Tag “interview” or “drone” or “explosion” on the scenes where it happens, and a year from now one search brings them all back.
Step by step
- Select one or more videos in the Video Catalog window.
- In the Keywording window, type a keyword in the box and press Enter. It is added to the selected videos and to your keyword list.
- Click a keyword already in the list to add it to the selected videos; click it again to take it off.
- To keyword a scene instead of the whole video, select the scene in the Scenes window, tick Tag scene(s) in video, and add the keyword. Keyworded scenes get a highlighted time label.
Tip: keyword scenes while the video plays. The Scenes window follows playback; pause where the moment starts and add the keyword.
