If you are not as organized as you would like to be and you feel like you are sorting through a mine field, don’t worry about it because your search has just gotten a lot easier with the filter tool. Once your video collection gets to be so large that it becomes hard to find particular clips you will still be able to find them easily by using the filter option. You can filter by content, keyword, cast, or archive. If you have been naming and categorizing as you go this will be a breeze. If you are not sure what you named a video don’t worry about it because you can use the other filters or do a more detailed filter to find your video.
In your Video Catalog window you will see a filter dropdown menu or a filter button, which looks like the filter you use to put oil in your car. By clicking on the dropdown menu you can choose what you want to filter by and it will pop up the “filter” window. If you chose the wrong specifications don’t worry you can pick from the tabs at the top of the window which way you would like to filter your videos. If you click on the filter picture button the same window will appear for you to choose your preference. Use whichever way works best for you.
When you are filtering on content you have the option to filter by title, description, links, file paths, genre, and/or rating. This is very convenient for you because you have so many options to choose from in filtering a video if you are not sure of the name. The next tab to the right would be your keyword filter. You can add and remove keywords for your filter here. If you have created a cast you can also filter by cast and actors. You can also filter your archived videos by clicking on the archive tab or in the dropdown menu select “Filter on Archive”
