You can manage details on your videos by opening up the video details window, to do this click on “Window” Select “Selected Video” and then choose “Video Details.” Within this window you can name your video. The time your video is added to your collection is automatically time stamped when you upload the video. Add a description, genre and rating. If there is a link, for example if you have a comedy clip collection live on YouTube, add the link and the location will be auto-populated for you. Obviously your videos have a lot more details than that, but these are basic details that will allow you to do good filtering later on when experiencing and browsing your collection.
You can add details in almost every window. You can add details when you add actors or edit the details from the actor’s window by adding tags to your actor portrait. When you create your actor if you fill it in with all the details that are necessary and something changes you can easily go to the cast window and edit your actor information.
In general when you open windows the tabs will appear on the side, top, or bottom of the full window. The tabs that appear on the side is where your details are located. These are: Video details, keywords, actions, and cast. All four of these windows will contain details of your video. When you click on the tab the window will appear and you fill in the details as you see fit.
A video clip collection without any details will be hard to manage. As you add actors and companion images make sure you fill in the details add keywords that are pertinent and unique to that video. When you add an actor to the cast be sure to tag them with a unique ID, this way when you are doing your filtering of your videos it will be so much easier. With your video catalog in order you can have all video clips of humorous fail clips with women and smiling kittens showing in a few seconds instead of hours.
